PROPERTIES AND EFFECTS OF ACCUTANE

- Anti-seborrheic.
- Anti-inflammatory.
- Sebostatic.
- Immunomodulatory and kerato-modulatory.
Isotretinoin enhances the regeneration processes in the skin. The drugs action is based on its ability to influence the composition of sebum, reduce its production and ensure rapid excretion from the sebaceous glands.
When used, there is a suppression of the production of the sebaceous glands, narrowing of the ducts, and a decrease in their number.
ACCUTANE TABLET USE
Isotretinoin should be taken with meals and has a half-life of 9 hours.
For severe acne, we recommend a dosage of 0.4 - 0.5 mg / kg of body weight per day.
For mild to moderate forms of acne, we recommend a dosage of 10 - 20mg daily. The length of the course depends on the dose and is different with each individual.
ISOTRETINOIN SIDE EFFECTS
The most common symptom of Isotretinoin use is severe dryness of the skin, sore lips, itching and flaking of the skin on the hands and feet. Irritation may occur on the skin and mucous membranes. Dry skin is exacerbated by situations where it is exposed to sunlight. During therapy, you should completely abandon sunbathing and use sunscreen when outside in the sun.
